Our own ‘Design to Cost’ manufacturing process

We optimise your production costs right from the design stage. We offer comprehensive services covering the entire life cycle of a component.

We apply the Design to Cost strategy from the very start of development. We integrate cost targets directly into the design process to ensure that the final component meets all performance, functionality and quality requirements whilst also achieving the target price. This protects you from costly changes in the later stages of the project.

Development and design of components

Every project begins with a technical design that takes into account the capabilities of powder metallurgy (MIM / CIM). We optimise the part’s shape, wall thicknesses and tolerance requirements for you – always with the aim of achieving ideal parameters for mass production via injection moulding and sintering.

Right from the design phase, we minimise weight, ensure mechanical properties and keep the project’s cost-effectiveness in mind. The result? Thanks to Design to Cost, we produce complex-shaped components that could not be manufactured using other methods. Or would cost you far too much.

Development and production of materials

We develop and manufacture our own feedstock – a mixture of powder and binder for MIM and CIM technologies. We tailor each material to your requirements for mechanical properties, ranging from strength and toughness to magnetic or chemical behaviour.

In collaboration with the Czech Academy of Sciences, we are researching new alloys and ceramic mixtures. Our in-house laboratory gives us control over the entire process and enables us to develop materials tailored to your specifications.

Mould development and production

We design and manufacture injection moulds optimised for MIM and CIM technologies for your production runs. The design takes into account shrinkage during sintering, ensuring proper venting and uniform filling of the mixture. The result is high-precision moulds with a long service life, ensuring stable mass production.

We provide comprehensive solutions: design documentation, mould manufacturing, test samples and validation of process parameters. We guarantee reproducible quality in every cycle and the minimisation of production risks.

Choice of production technology

Once the design of the part and the mould has been finalised, we select the most suitable manufacturing technologies based on the required properties of the final product.

MIM (Metal Injection Moulding)

It is suitable for metal components with complex geometries that require high precision and strength.

CIM (Ceramic Injection Moulding)

We choose ceramic components for their extreme hardness, thermal stability and electrical insulation.

HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing)

increases the density and mechanical strength of sintered components by applying high pressure and temperature.

We assess each project individually. We will propose processes that ensure the ideal balance of price, quality and production efficiency.

Post-processing

Following sintering, we carry out post-processing to achieve the final dimensions and properties of the component. In accordance with your specifications, we carry out machining, heat treatment (hardening, annealing, tempering) or surface treatments – ranging from passivation and nickel plating through nitriding to PVD/DLC coatings.
This increases resistance to corrosion and abrasion and optimises both functional and aesthetic parameters. Your parts often meet tolerance requirements immediately after sintering.

Quality control and testing

We verify every stage of production through metrological and metallographic inspection. We measure dimensional deviations, density, microstructure and hardness of sintered components using precision instrumentation. The production process is managed in accordance with ISO 9001.

The main objective of these inspections is the long-term stabilisation of MIM and CIM processes, ensuring maximum production efficiency and predictable quality for every batch.
